Vision
ESOG
aspires to see that all people have a
right to and enjoy full reproductive and sexual health (SRH) and that the
profession secures the professional environment to realize its mission.
Mission
Promote and enhance SRH through evidence-based
and cohesive action of the association with active participation of its members
and broad national and international partnership.
Goal (Overall Objective)
Improve standards, ethics and practices of
Sexual and Reproductive health in Ethiopia.
Objectives

To insure high standard of SRH practice in
Ethiopia in order to attain the highest possible level of health for women and
children in the country.

To influence policy, strategy and plan
development and training and research in SRH.

To improve professional excellence through
training and the dissemination of appropriate knowledge and practices in SRH.

To advocate and promote high standard ethical
practices in SRH.

To promote research in SRH.

To initiate and strengthen professional
linkages with similar societies and organizations in and outside Ethiopia.

basic human rights in the country

ESOG's vision and mission are national SRH
issues oriented but, strategically it sees itself, in association with the
relevant stakeholders, as a professional forum in SRH for:

The articulation of policy, strategic and
planning issues.

Research, studies and testing (including pilot
testing) on knew knowledge, innovative approaches and best practices.

Promotion, advocacy and technical support for
direct implementers - government, NGO and private.

CBO and NGO involved in SRH

Diversify funding mechanism
Monitoring and Evaluation
Most of the 'project'
activities in SP will have in-built M&E mechanism. Monitoring of the
implementation of the whole SP will be carried out through:

The panel will monitor the
activities of each project using a preset monitoring mechanism
-
The Panel quarterly reports the
project activities to the Executive Committee
-
The activity and financial
report will be discussed at project appraisal meetings organized by the EC
twice/year.

Yearly activity audit by
internal auditors to be reported at the annual conference business meeting
-
The Executive Committee of ESOG
annually (immediately before the Annual Conference) reviews the project
activities and a report will be presented at the business meeting
-
Mid-term review will be
conducted by an external consultant
-
Final evaluation by an external
consultant will be done at the end of the 5 years.
